Announcing SftP UK’s first event: a chapter & magazine launch in London!
Please join us for a brief introduction to the SftP UK chapter and a launch of the most recent @sftpmag issue, ‘Beyond Binaries’ 🏳️⚧️
In this issue, the authors reject the gender binary on both ideological and scientific grounds, exploring how this false dichotomy emerged over time, whose interests it serves, and the weaponization of science to maintain those interests. They also imagine an alternative, truly inclusive investigation of gender that can radically transform scientific inquiry and expand the reach of people these new insights can begin to serve.
The launch is free to attend, and copies of the magazine in print (all the way from the US!) will be available for purchase, along with drinks.
We would love to chat with any scientists or STEM workers interested in learning more about our work and/or getting involved. Hope to see many London-based comrades there!
